In a time when educators are navigating constant shifts, including diminishing attention spans, new AI technology, and shrinking budgets, One Circle Foundation returned from the United School Leadership Conference in Seattle this week with a very clear message: United in community, we are stronger together.

This April, during National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we invite you to read a powerful personal story from Shayla Benson, One Circle Foundation’s Director of Curricula. As a survivor and sexuality educator, Shayla shares what she witnessed in school hallways, how consent culture is often missing in youth spaces, and what led her to create Voice & Choice: Embracing Boundaries and Consent.

Running a Circle group is an excellent example of how a facilitator can be an “askable adult” and foster adult-youth communication. As I think about the importance of Let's Talk Month, I remember participating in The Council for Boys and Young Men Facilitator Training and providing additional training for the facilitators.

Message from Our E.D. July was a full month at One Circle Foundation. We attended the American School Counselors Association conference, launched updated and new digital curricula, celebrated one of our staff members getting married, welcomed two new members to our Board of Directors, and connected with countless organizations and facilitators to provide support, training, and resources from all over the US and a few folks from Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, and Canada. Supporting facilitators, communities, and youth is what we live for at One Circle Foundation. We’re proliferators of Circle guardians worldwide, and we are here to support you in this work.
