Through a collaborative process involving our board, staff, facilitators, and valued partners, One Circle Foundation has reimagined and refreshed our Vision and Mission statements to better align with the needs of this moment. This process allowed us to reflect on our purpose and direction as we continue to empower youth and strengthen communities.   We’re excited to share this renewed vision as we move forward with clarity and purpose.  OCF VISION: Youth thrive worldwide through compassionate connections and healthy relationships within their communities.   OCF MISSION: Prepare caring adults with excellent accredited training, user-friendly activity guides, and innovative approaches to facilitate research-based Circles for transformational youth development. 

As we soak up the last days of summer, let's continue to ignite the spark of transformation in every Circle. Your dedication inspires growth, connection, and positivechange – keep shining brightly.

After years of fighting for rights for the LGBTQ+ community, I believed the fight was over, as we had achieved what we had fought for. However, during One Circle Foundation trainings, I have been reminded that our battle is far from over, and the future of LGBTQ+ youth depends on all of us speaking up, showing up, and supporting all youth! Read more.

All Together Rising is One Circle Foundation’s answer to the call from youth service providers for Circle sessions that directly address some of the familiar adverse conditions affecting many youth. All Together Rising is an innovative collection of supplemental Circle sessions, compatible with any One Circle model (Girls Circle, Unity Circle, or The Council for Boys and Young Men), which has been meticulously developed to address the complexities of eight different adverse childhood experiences: community violence, food insecurity, homelessness & housing insecurity

2022 has been a year of celebration as One Circle Foundations' 25th year anniversary. We want to share all that our team and you as circle and council facilitators and supporters have accomplished this year. Articles continue to pop up on my newsfeed about how the pandemic has been detrimental to the mental health of many, especially young people. The isolation, lack of connection with peers, and the uptick in violence within homes and racism within communities during the last 2+ years have led to a mental health crisis for youth.  According to the 2021 CDC Adolescent Behaviors and Experiences Survey (ABES) of 7,705 high school students, nearly half reported they persistently felt sad or hopeless and experienced emotional abuse in the home, while The Trevor Project’s 2021 Survey showed that 70% of LGBTQ+ youth stated that their mental health was “poor” most of the time or always during COVID-19.  In October 2021, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) declared a national emergency in children's mental health.
