We’re always excited to see new Circles pop up around the world. This week, we highlight The Zonta Club of Porterville, California, for launching a new Girls Circle group. Zonta International is a worldwide service organization working to advance the status of women.

There are more than 30,000 members in more than 1,200 clubs in 67 countries all over the world. We applaud the Zonta Club of Porterville’s mission: “To improve the status of women by helping them develop their utmost potential through education, mentor programs, and leadership in the community.”

Board of Directors Highlight: Meet Priscilla Martinez, LCSW

Get to know Priscilla Martinez, LCSW, one of the esteemed new members of our board of directors. Her commitment and expertise are true assets to the One Circle Foundation mission, and we are privileged to welcome her service.

“I was a volunteer on the Public Relations Committee and was privileged to join a Mitigating Gender & Racial Bias training. My understanding of the Foundation's mission deepened as I saw how it was putting those values into practice to deepen the skill set of providers working with families, individuals and communities. I was fortunate to be approached to consider joining the board, which I felt was a real honor as I was grateful to be considered a resource in helping further the Foundation's important work.

I have experience providing direct service to individuals, families, and communities in my roles as a public and therapeutic school social worker, and as a social worker supporting individuals and families impacted by substance abuse and HIV/AIDS. My tenure as director of a short-term residential substance abuse treatment program allowed me to support the clinical team in becoming certified in the A-CRA model, oversee the treatment in the program and the aftercare component, and collaborate with our partner state agencies who referred the youth. My time on the Greater Bridgeport Latino Network board allowed me to share resources via the newsletter and partner with the Red Cross and community volunteers to run blood drives.”

Give the Gift of Connection

Your monthly donation of $20 will support One Circle Foundation’s Scholarship Fund!

At One Circle Foundation, we believe every youth and teen deserves the opportunity to develop resiliency through healthy connections. Unfortunately, many youth-serving organizations in under-resourced and under-served communities lack the financial resources to provide the training and curricula necessary to make this possible.

That's where One Circle Foundation comes in. With each dollar donated, we can provide training and curricula scholarships to these organizations, giving youth and teens in these communities the chance to thrive.

We invite you to support this crucial work by becoming a sustaining donor through a recurring monthly or yearly donation. Your contribution will significantly impact the lives of young people in need. Become a Sustaining Donor today.
