One Circle Foundation provides uniquely powerful, interactive, and experiential trainings that prepare adults serving youth to provide effective, research-based programs in their respective settings. Trainings provided include:
The Training Experience
When you attend an OCF training you can expect a respectful, fun, and engaging learning environment. Adults from all youth serving sectors in both prevention and intervention settings attend our trainings: education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, and community-based programming.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in circle and group activities, share their wisdom, and practice building new skills relevant to strengths-based, gender responsive programming. Our trainings utilize the best of restorative circle practices, motivational interviewing techniques, and trauma informed approaches.
Often an internal shift occurs for participants when they experience the impact of connection in circle. Furthermore, they learn best practices for providing safe spaces for youth, how to shape and hold lively group discussions and activities to promote critical thinking, and methods for handling difficult group dynamics.
The implementation of these programs reach beyond the growth of adolescents. Adult facilitators, agencies, and institutions also experience the rewards. Institutional culture shifts occur that improve the overall quality of organizational behavior and wellness in these settings as well. As many organizations are discovering, improved relationships within and amongst adults have increased effectiveness, change, and growth across the organization creating a unique kind of sustainability.
Bring One Circle Foundation Trainings to Your Area
One Circle Foundation aims to provide the highest quality training experience resulting in tangible skills to facilitate groups. And we will come to you! Read below to see which option best fits your needs.
Host An Open Public Training
This option is for the agency that is connected in their community, needs less than 20 facilitators trained, is willing to open the training “to the public,” and values the publicity they will receive as a partnering organization with One Circle Foundation to provide gender specific programming and training in their state.
Book a Closed Contract Training
This option is for an agency that needs 20 or more facilitators trained, requests the training in a short time frame, and prefers a private training for their own employees to promote a shift in organizational programming and culture.
We Are Flexible
We are a national training organization and do our best to reach as many caring adults as possible who are interested in effective support groups for youth.
